The deadline is fast approaching for fall baseball (September 1st).
Many of you have expressed an interest to play and we are offering that opportunity.Even if you do not have enough players to make a team we can attempt to combine players to make a team.We have received calls from many individuals, but they need to be placed or matched-up with a team so they can begin to practice.I hope we can move forward to a great season!

Youth ages 10-18 are invited to join a fall baseball league. What a great opportunity for teams to work on fundamental skills, have fun and make strides in preparation for spring baseball. The fall baseball season begins on Sunday, September 12; games will be played at various parks in the county. To Join a Boys & Girls Club in your area
Contact the Membership person for information about registering a child into that club. Club Contact Information
Club's are created by specific boundaries. Choose the club that is in your area, call the Membership Person to verify that your address is in that club's boundaries.
To join a team, the child must be registered with his/her local club first. To avoid delays, please have a copy of the child's Birth Certificate and a current photo (2x3 size) available.
Child's Membership Information
A child will only be put on a roster when he/she has been totally cleared. The following is needed to get a santioned Membership ID:
During every sport season, several players are declared ineligible due to problems with the OFFICIAL ROSTERS. If a child is not totally cleared and given a yellow laminated card he/she will not be on the PGCBGC OFFICIAL ROSTER and therefore will be ILLEGALto play until he/she receives a Yellow Laminated Card.
The following should be checked on your rosters to avoid problems during your season:
Names are not listed on the Roster
Nick Names are used
Player’s do not reside in the Club’s area
Dues are not paid
To eliminate these problems, it is strongly recommended that prior to the first game coaches must check their rosters in person at our office. Please call 301-446-6800 to make an appointment with someone on our staff.

Make sure you have your mandatory ID Badge before the season begins! Please check the information listed under each sport on the Coaches Info Page.
NFL All-Star Brian Mitchell videotaped a message for the Annual PGCBGC Awards Banquet. Mitchell played for the Washington Redskins for most of his career (1990-99), but he also had stints with the Philadelphia Eagles (2000-02) and the New York Giants (2003). Before the 2004 season, he re-signed to a one day contract with the Washington Redskins, allowing him to retire a Redskin.
